As a heavy person, I was absolutely miserable. I let
my weight affect me emotionally. I was a person that
wanted to fade into the background because I knew my size
stood out. I had laparoscopic Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass surgery
and lost 72 kg. I am now proud to say that my biggest surgery
goal has come true. I have enjoyed all of the benefits of
increased health, quality of life, and a smaller size, but
now I have the family that I have always dreamed of. In 2007
I gave birth to healthy twins; a boy and a girl!

Brandon lost

I had the surgery and the weight truly just melted away along

Although I never acknowledged my weight to be a hindrance
in my life, there were things that I had to admit that I wouldn’t
try because I was 150 kg. I did not have the courage to reach

I have made it a point to try and conquer all those little

All of my life I have been the biggest of 10 children and
I have never really had a problem with it until I reached
136 kg. In 2004 I began to have different medical problems
and had to go on medical leave in June. I weighed 181 kg.
It wasn't until I saw an ad for BSS that I found Dr. Marvin
and was able to have gastric bypass surgery in April 2005.
So far I have lost a total of 67 kg and am no longer a diabetic!

I have always been overweight. I tried every diet and weight
loss trends, but they never worked. If I did end up losing
any weight, I only seemed to gain it back plus a few kg more.
